Arnab Ghosh

Doctoral Student

Arnab completed his bachelor’s degree in chemistry (Hons.) at Maulana Azad College (Calcutta University). Following this, he earned his M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras), India. During his time at IIT Madras and through a summer internship at Calcutta University, Arnab focused on computational and theoretical chemistry. His Master’s thesis explored topics in atmospheric chemistry and computational chemistry, which introduced him to LASER physics and sparked a deep interest in the field.

To further explore this interest, Arnab joined the Huang group in Fall 2024, where he focused on studying transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) and exciton transport in 2D materials using LASER-based techniques.

Arnab enjoys reading novels, watching National Geographic, and learning German outside of research.
