Dr. Ben Cerjan

Research Scholar

Ben received his undergraduate degree from Carleton College in 2012 and graduated from Rice with a PhD in Physics in 2018. His graduate work focused on plasmonics, specifically chemical sensing using infrared spectroscopy. As a post doc, he worked for Dr. Mark Griep at the Army Research Lab in Aberdeen on the fabrication of master stamps for nanoimprint lithography to make color-changing metasurfaces. Ben joined the research staff at Purdue in the Fall of 2021 as an instrumentation specialist in the Amy Facility and recently transitioned to supporting the Quantum Photonic Integrated Design Center (QuPIDC) as a Research Scientist at Purdue. Outside of work, he enjoys baking, talking to his cats, and introducing his son to the wide world of video games.
